Lisa Fager Bediako is the President and Co-founder of Industry Ears, an advocacy/activist think tank concerned with the impact media has on children and people of color. She draws upon more than fifteen years of experiences in various marketing and public relations roles for major entertainment and broadcasting companies, including Infinity Broadcasting, Capitol-EMI records and Discovery Communications. Ms. Fager Bediako, an expert in social marketing, also independently consults on health and civic issues through her FreeMind Communications venture with a broad range of clients, including the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Comcast Corporate, American Cancer Society, Hip Hop Voices, and Def Jam Records.

She has testified before both the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee and the U.S. House Subcommittee on Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection on the FCC’s lax stance towards indecent television and radio content directed at communities of color. Ms. Fager Bediako has also been featured as a guest in several national media outlets, including McLaughlin One-on-One, Billboard Magazine, Essence Magazine, The Crisis Magazine, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and New York Daily News. She is a much sought after commentator and has been cited in numerous national and international publications.

Ms. Fager Bediako received her BA in English Literature at the University of Maryland, College Park and her MBA in Marketing at Johns Hopkins University. She resides in the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area with her husband and son.
